Arnaud Develay

Arnaud Develay was trained as a lawyer both in France and the United States. He started his career under the leadership of former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, defending the former president of Iraq and his companions in the wake of the US illegal invasion of that country. He assisted in coordinating legal action carried out by lawyers from the US, Europe, and the Mideast in the context of the trials held before the Iraqi High Tribunal, acted as co-counsel in criminal and terrorism cases, and provided legal consultancy to diplomatic missions. He represented and participated in the defense of Ilitch Ramirez Sanchez, AKA Carlos the Jackal. He set out to monitor the effect of the Ceasar sanction regime in war-ravaged Syria before turning his attention to the rapidly-deteriorating situation in Eastern Europe. His articles are widely published across the internet.
